When do carp bite best?
Carp anglers know it: air pressure, wind and the moon make the difference. Carpio lines it all up for you:

Frequently asked questions
Is Carpio free?
Yes. Carpio is completely free, with no subscription and no ads.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Carpio works in the browser on your phone or computer. On your phone, choose "Add to Home Screen" in the browser menu and Carpio opens like a regular app from then on, with its own icon.
Can a mate without an email address join?
Yes. You add them as a guest: they count in the costs and the leaderboard. Or you create an account for them with a username and password so they can sign in themselves.
Does Carpio work without signal on the bank?
Yes. Catches, costs and sessions are stored on your phone and sent automatically once you have signal again. The weather for a catch is filled in afterwards.
How is the carp score calculated?
The score from 0 to 100 combines air pressure, the pressure trend over the last 6 hours, temperature, wind strength and direction, cloud cover, precipitation, the moon phase and solunar feeding periods. It's an estimate: with your own catches, the insights show what works on your water.
What happens to my data if Carpio ever stops?
You can download all your trips and catches at any time, as an Excel file or a full backup. Should Carpio ever stop, we'll announce it well in advance so everyone can download everything calmly.
Who sees my catches and costs?
Only the members of your trip. There's no public profile and your swims stay secret. Read more in our privacy policy.
